Bimini
The water surrounding Bimini are considered to be some of the areas top big-game fishing spots.Bimini is close enough to Fort Lauderdale and Miami, Florida, fisherman from south Florida end up in Bimini to spend the weekend relaxing and fishing. The fact that it is so close many Florida residents go to Bimini by boat to fish or to enjoy the local nightlife.
Scuba diving, snorkeling, kayaking, shipwreck tours, paddle boarding and parasailing are also popular activities, as there are many shipwrecks in the area, such as the wreck of the SS Sapona, which wrecked in 1926 during a hurricane. The top of the ship is exposed to the air while the bottom half is under the water.
